What you get:
- 6 days of instruction in the Grampians
and at Arapiles over 3 weekends (arranged to suit participants)
- Participant to Instructor ratio of 2:1
- Coverage under the Club’s insurance
policy
- At the end of the course participants
will be competent to lead climbs on rock, place protection,
and get off the cliff.
What you need:
- Boots & harness – the Club provides
helmets, ropes and all hardware
- Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and
a spirit of adventure
- Current VCC membership.
What it costs:
- $550 (inc GST) plus membership fee if not
already a member
The leader’s prerogative of the Club’s Trip Leader’s
Guidelines apply to Learn To Lead Courses, i.e. the Course Co-ordinator
has the absolute discretion to reject any intending participant
if he is not satisfied that those participants have the necessary
level of skill and equipment or are otherwise unsuitable.
